At present, almost every manufacturing company is forced to evaluate and question its actual strength & stability during the economic turmoil. Financial liquidity is ever more important, flexibility and immediate adjustment to reduced production demand is vital. Almost all immediate action plans of every manufacturing company include massive cuts in capital expenditures and even staff layoffs. Besides these reactive steps, which are certainly necessary to a certain extend, a more proactive approach is to re-look into the actual manufacturing performance. The actual production process simply is the heartbeat of the manufacturing organization! Within the last 12 months, we have experienced many manufacturing firms in Asia that still manage their actual production processes with massive amounts of paper and, moreover, with massive amounts of data with questionable data origin from the shop floor and thus questionable data integrity. This is due to the fact that the existing information management infrastructure on the shop floor area does not allow a better job!

While manufacturers manage their strategic business processes such as sales, purchasing, HR, finance & accounting, warehouse, production planning, in powerful integrated ERP-systems or sometimes even in spreadsheets, the operational shop floor environment is still very much managed manually with big amounts of paper, walking-around, phone calls, "deadline-hunting" and "firefighting". It does not have to be like that! Changes to the positive are not so difficult.

The leading Manufacturing Execution System (MES) HYDRA® from the worldwide MPDV Group with 30 years of impeccable history in service and growth provides unmatched information transparency for the operational areas of PRODUCTION, PERSONNEL and QUALITY in your discrete manufacturing environment - simply to make your life easier in scheduling, capturing, viewing and evaluating your production shop floor, along with powerful ERP-system interfaces as well as human interfaces for shop floor supervisors/operators and direct machine connectivity to any machine such as state-of-the-art SMT Machines, Injection Molding Machines, CNC Works Centers, Ovens, Printing Presses, Coil Slitting Lines or simply manual Lathebed Machines and others.

When considering the overall project implementation budget for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) HYDRA®, it is only a small fraction of the actual asset value of all workcenters/facilities/materials that are going to be optimized. Considering a performance improvement of each workcenter by just a few percentage points through proper use of HYDRA®, healthy ROI's can be achieved in a very short term. Real life has proven it - in almost every country.
