Positions Available

Executive, Industry Groups

You will provide secretariat support to the various Industry Groups committees, as well as organize events, seminars and talks for the members of specific industry groups such as Food & Beverage, Lifestyle & Packaging Council of Singapore:
  • Degree or Diploma with 2-3 years' relevant experiences in events management, business coordination and/or secretarial support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact well with members at the senior management levels
  • Good written & oral communication in English. Knowledge of Mandarin would be an added advantage
  • Resourceful and able to commence work immediately or within short notice

Productivity Manager

You are responsible for participating in productivity and innovation initiatives that SMa spearheads in its effort to drive process improvement and productivity growth across the manufacturing industry in Singapore.

This includes:

  • Mentor and advise organizations participating in SMa’s productivity programs to implement productivity improvement roadmaps, particularly through the Lean Six Sigma methodology and business process re-engineering strategy
  • Assist participating companies to set up a process framework for critical project identification, project progress tracking and project results measurement
  • Facilitate project teams from participating organizations to apply the Lean Six Sigma tools effectively to eliminate wastes, reduce variation and improve processes
  • Train and impart productivity improvement tools to participants
  • Identify barriers to success and facilitate project teams and their management to remove the barriers
  • Provide productivity diagnostics and productivity assessments to aid participating organisations in enhancing their productivity improvement roadmaps
  • Provide advisory service to participating companies on government funding schemes related to productivity and innovation activities
  • Work with other SMa secretariats to organise training, workshops, seminars and conferences for productivity and innovation

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized university
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with proven records of successful project execution with subsequent cost savings
  • At least 5 years’ experiences in a process or productivity improvement role, with considerable exposure to process re-engineering work in a manufacturing and/or service industry
  • Good working experience in developing process framework, metrics and measurement systems
  • Proficiency in other best practices such as TQM, 8D, ISO, CMMI, etc. is an advantage
  • Strong training, mentoring and project management skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent, self-starter with strong leadership qualities and yet a good team player
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to interface with operational personnel as well as senior leaders of an organisation
  • Critical-thinking ability and problem-solving skills to deal with highly complex, cross functional processes and strategic projects

Executive, Corporate Communications


Responsibilities

  • Handle copywriting for speeches, press releases, newsletter articles, etc
  • Manage press relations including press coverage, press conferences, press interviews and enquiries.
  • Set up interviews and briefings for the press with the President and Council Members. 
  • Handle publications such as annual reports, bi-monthly magazines, etc
  • Monitor media channels for coverage on SMa

Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Mass Communications, Journalism, Literature, Arts or equivalent
  • 1-3 years’ experiences in copywriting, corporate communication or public relations
  • Prior experience in print publication production will be an added advantage
  • Excellent communicator, both oral and in writing
  • Bilingual in both English and Mandarin, with a flair for writing
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments at the same time.
  • Proactive, self starter with an analytical and creative mind

 Project Manager

Responsibilities 

  • Business development - identify and recruit companies  to participate in capability development programmes
  • Create awareness of the different capability programmes through workshops and seminars
  • Provide advisory services to companies
  • Project management and monitoring of projects under implementation 

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, project management or business consultancy
  • Good written and oral communication with excellent planning and organising skills
  • Passionate and entrepreneurial minded

Requirements  

  • Degree in the relevant industries
  • 5 years of relevant working experience, with at least 1 year in conducting training
  • For 1 - 5 possession of Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) is preferable
  • For 1 - 5 ability to demonstrate the competencies to design, plan, conduct and assess Competency-Based Training that are consistent with the core modules in WSQ training competency framework is preferable
